<Why Darwin's Evolution theory can be wrong?>

20141458 이윤영

   1. What is Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution?

  1. Evolution occurs(= organism change over time from common ancestors)
  2. Evolution occurs by natural selection(= Species that have more benefit for nature survive.)

   2. Why Darwin’s Evolution theory can be wrong?

  1.  According to Darwin’s theory, two species which are predicted to have same ancestor must have intermediate traits between them. However, there are lots of lacks of intermediate traits. For example, in evolutionary, reptiles become birds through evolution. Reptiles and birds have totally different respiratory system. In reptile lung, air goes inside and outside of only one tube which ends in air sacs. On the other hand, in birds, air pass though lung in one direction. In worlds, there is no respiratory system which form is intermediate these two systems.
  2.  Darwin’s theory insists that evolution occur due to coincidence mutation. If the mutation is suitable for nature, it survives in more frequently. However, there is some error. From virus, bacteria to human, most organisms evolved from simple organisms to higher organisms. In this case, lots of genetic information should be added to simple organisms. However, almost genetic mutation is rearrangement of existing genetic information and deletion of information. For example, finches in Galapagosisland, have very diverse beak due to mutation of ALX1 gene. (rearrangement of existing genetic information) So, it is not easy to simple organisms become higher organisms by genetic mutation.

<Comparative genomics>

  1. What is comparative genomics?

 Comparative genomics is study that compare genomic information between two different organisms. By comparative genomics, we can estimate how much two organisms similar or different in the genetic level. On the basis of that information, it is possible to construct evolutionary relationship between many organisms.
