Why Korean scientists are so quiet?

From Biolecture.org

Definitely, when comparing other countries, Korean scientists are relatively quiet. There are many factor making korean scientists inactive.

The major factor is their culture. we need to consider how they live when they were studnets.

If you experience the class of korean and U.S. , you will easily find the difference of air. Korean student tend to passively accept information from the instructor because they just used to do such like that.

However, from elementary school to high school, U.S. and European countries used to emphasize on the discussion. In the class, they constantly question and it is natural process. these differences make habit or custom.

Test form also affect the result of students' response. In korean, the right answer is very definite. Students are required to solve the problem having definitely correct answer. Because these problems are made from the instructor, The contents that instructor didn't explain are not helpful for making a good score. So additional question is absolutely useless for the grade.

In the cases of U.S., their test require student's own thinking, idea. It means, there are no right or definite answer. So additional question is helpful for the grading because question makes creative ideas.

in terms of minor aspect, I guess that DNA can also affect these phenotype. As you know, the suicide used to inherited to offspring. I think silence can also be rised from the differences of DNA. The genomic sequence of western countries and eastern countries are somewhat different. I heard that genomic researcher target suicided-experienced people to find a certain gene that induce suicide pattern. Likewise, There might certain gene sequence induce korean scientists' silence in a discussion.
