<p>Definitions of 20 important things in my life</p> <p>1. Family : a basic social unit consisting of parents and thei children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not</p> <ul> <li>Should it include blood relation?</li></ul> <p>2. Friend : a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.</p> <ul> <li>Here, ‘personal regard’ is an important term. For a relationship to be accomplished, certain personal benefits must be shared.</li></ul> <p>3. Food : any nourishing substance that is eaten, drunk, or otherwise taken into the body to sustain life, provide energy, promote growth, dtc.</p> <ul> <li>To sustain life, that is the essence.</li></ul> <p>4. Thought : the product of mental activity; that which one thinks</p> <ul> <li>Mental activity. Without brain’s well function, no thoughts, no mental activity. What would I be if I’m not able to think?</li></ul> <p>5. Philosophy : the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.</p> <ul> <li>To answer all the questions.</li></ul> <p>6. Poem : a composition in verse, especially one that is characterized by a highly developed artistic form an by the use of heightened language and rhythm to express an intensely imaginative interpretation of the subject.</p> <ul> <li>Poem is a written picture of feelings.</li></ul> <p>7. Health : the general condition of the body or mind with reference to soundness and vigor</p> <ul> <li>As I am a physical entity, my spirit,, mind are based on my body’s condition.</li></ul> <p>8. Satisfaction : an act of satisfying; fulfillment; gratification.</p> <ul> <li>All of one’s behavior is to satisfy oneself.</li></ul> <p>9. Laugh : to express mirth, pleasure, derision, or nervousness with an audible, vocal expulsion of air from the lungs that can range from a loud burst of sound to a series of quiet chuckles and is usually accompanied by characteristic facial and bodily movements.</p> <ul> <li>Laugh is an action that shows one is satisfied with something in front of him/her.</li></ul> <p>10. Music : an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.</p> <ul> <li>Like poem, music is a audible touch on feelings.</li></ul> <p>11. Sleep : to take the rest afforded by a suspension of voluntary bodily functions an the natural suspension, complete or partial, of consciousness; cease being awake.</p> <ul> <li>I heard that biological reason why animal sleep is not revealed. It’s a physiological, anatomical ritual of ending a day.</li></ul> <p>12. Body control : an ability to move body parts on one’s will; strength, speed, flexibility.</p> <ul> <li>It’s one of qualification to be a self.</li></ul> <p>13. Smile : to assume a facial expression indicating pleasure, favor, or amusement, but sometimes derision or scorn, characterized by an upturning of the corners of the mouth.</p> <ul> <li>Like laugh, smile shows same feeling with under-threshold for laugh.</li></ul> <p>14. Truth : the true or actual state of a matter, logic.</p> <ul> <li>What would be the evolutionary benefit of being able to seek for the truth?</li></ul> <p>15. Literature : writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest, are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays.</p> <ul> <li>Through literature, we can experience many things that wouldn’t happen in our life.</li></ul> <p>16. Money : any circulating medium of exchange, including coins, paper money, and deman deposits.</p> <ul> <li>No one can produce all s/he needs or wants. Exchange will increase satisfaction.</li></ul> <p>17. Freedom : the state if being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.</p> <ul> <li>I’m doubtful on spiritual freedom without physical freedom.</li></ul> <p>18. Communication : the imparting or interchange of thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, or signs.</p> <ul> <li>Other’s existences are nothing but a communicating object for information, data.</li></ul> <p>19. Affection : fond attachment, devotion, or love.</p> <ul> <li>Affection from another is a strong trigger for satisfaction.</li></ul> <p>20.Masculinity : feature that pertains to or characteristic of a man or men</p> <ul> <li>If we don’t read with eyes, there’s nothing makes us better than the blind. In the same manner, if we don’t express masculinity with Y chromosome, it’s a waste of our genetic resource.</li></ul>
