<p>Massive parallel sequencing&nbsp;or&nbsp;massively parallel sequencing&nbsp;is any of several high-throughput approaches to&nbsp;DNA sequencing&nbsp;using the concept of&nbsp;massively parallel&nbsp;processing; it is also called&nbsp;next-generation sequencing&nbsp;or&nbsp;second-generation sequencing.</p>

<p>illumina adpted this technique in 2005. This technique first breaks DNA down into several pieces and duplicate them. Next, fluorescences are attached to the nucleotides based on their type and those nucleotides are read simultaneously.</p>
