The grading I'm proposing : B+ ~ A-.
First, thank you for the professor teaching Genomic Course during the semester.

Grading criteria

I select usually used evaluation criteria in UNIST

Attendance : 20%

In class participation : 20%

Homework 10%

Final Essay : 50%

Let’s talk about one by one

1. Attendance (19/20)

: I absent total one classes. Therefore, I deduct 1 points.

2. In class participation (15/20)

Actually I am not active students in this semester, so I did not give many comments and ask questions. However most of students did the same as me, except few students, so I gain 75% of point.

3. Homework (2/10)

I search for interesting subjects of genomics twice.

4. Final essay (40/50)

If I were to self-evaluate the esay I submitted, I think it's about 40 out of 50.

Finally I gained 76 points

A+ : 95 - 100

A0 : 90 - 95

A- : 80 - 90

B+ : 75- 80

B0 : 70 - 75

B- : 60 - 70

C+ : 50 -60

C0 : 40 - 50

C- : 30 - 40

D+ : 20 - 30

D0 : 10 - 20

D- : 0 - 10

Based on the criteria, I think I need to get a grade B+
But I summarized what I felt about genomics, which can't be scored. I think we should give an additional 5 points based on the evidence below and get an A- with a total of 81 points.

What I learned
I learned the ability to find and distinguish information while taking Genomics.
I wanted to take this class because I had not yet encountered much of the genome as a mindset when I applied for this class and lacked related knowledge. While taking the genomics class, I made a lot of efforts to explore what questions to ask and find out for myself. There was a lot of unnecessary information in this process, and I learned to learn by distinguishing them.
Developing my ideas
As I wrote in Scientific Essay, I wanted to apply the genomics class to the research I was doing. The purpose of this study was to find out the principles and analysis methods of RNA sequencing, and to make a research plan using them and implement them. In this process, as mentioned above, it was very helpful to develop the ability to find and distinguish information.

Assessment of myself in class
I tried to actively perform flipped learning before class and participated in the class on time. I tried to understand what the professor was saying as much as possible.

Shortcoming
Although I couldn't ask many questions during class. If I think about the reason for it myself, I think it's a fear of English. Whenever I tried to answer or ask a question, I hesitated because I thought what if English was wrong in my head, and I didn't seem to be able to actively participate in the class.

Conclusion
I thought a lot about how I could use the genomics class in the field I wanted, rather than thinking about it as a class to gain and finish knowledge. Although I did not participate actively, I felt the pleasure and necessity of not only genomes but also biotechnology research through the class.
Based on the above grounds, I think I should get a B+~A- grade.
