NANOPORE is a 3rd generation sequencing technique that professor George Church introduced.
The technique penetrate the DNA through the nano size pore of membrane protein of microorganism. When DNA goes though this pore, it emits electronic signal that varies depends on the type of nucleotides. This signal is distinguished to identify the sequence.
The technology is so innovative that it is called as 'Apple in genome sequencing'
In 2005, Oxford university researchers made a device named 'Minion' using the technique.
