Cancer's Last Stand? The Genome Solution
Cancer claims the lives of more than one half million americans each year, more than 1500 each day.
What is the definition of cancer?
Cancer cells grow faster, adapt better. They are more perfect versions of ourselves.
How to identify genetic targets in Cancer cells so that therapeutics could be developed to attack them?
Can we classify cancers by their mutations?
-> Just sequencing and compare with so far discovered is not enough because of their unexpected mutations.
very interesting in that approach cancer in the problem of mutation in specific tissue. By using genome in that field,
catagorize and see their prediction is getting much easier.
However, i'm quite wonder that as mentioned on top, can we classify cancer?
Cancer it self is in fact defined by human. cancer is variable. cancer can be different for differnet cirscumstance.
That's why i think it is very hard to classify all of them.
