Massive Parallel Sequencing
Massive parallel sequencing or massively parallel sequencing is any of several high-throughput approaches to DNA sequencing using the concept of massively parallel processing; it is also called next-generation sequencing or second-generation sequencing.
illumina adpted this technique in 2005. This technique first breaks DNA down into several pieces and duplicate them. Next, fluorescences are attached to the nucleotides based on their type and those nucleotides are read simultaneously.
