Recently in Korea, civilian genetic analysis service is allowed partially. To the genetics and genomics study, this is really positive sign to develop. Because this kind of personal information is quite new, and previously not researched about social effect yet, it should be carefully controlled, and the control should include both regulation to prevent invasion of privacy and freedom to develop technology and therapy. Without right balance, genetic analysis is bad and problematic rather than useful.

In this point, the regulation of government is understandable. Everything must start from the most basic and safe thing. But still there are problem. First thing is the renewal time of regulation takes too long time. In this article suggest about 3 years, and this is too long if we think about how the genomic study is developing fast and how many needs are existing. Also there are too little thing allowed. To cover many needs, develop the technology or apply to the therapy, it is almost related to interest rather than critical.

Therapycally, personalized medicine or genetically analyzed prevention is one of the most important goal of genomics. Government and many other related faculties should be ready to face new area of clinic with proper regulation. So this regulation looks like hasty decision. For the right application, every related area should be educated and make reasonable decision.
