No one is born with any defined interest of research. 

If you decide to learn genomics or bioinfomatics, find methods to motivate your

      brain in the most efficient ways.

1) Find materials: read research articles with questions. Look up research papers when necessary.

2) Ask fundamental questions (fundamental questions are often dumb)

3) Use your imagination and draw pictures in your mind to understand the important problems.

4) Devise your own independent ways to analyze the problems.

5) Come up with logical solutions
