Issues to solve on Omics data

  • How can we integrate multi-omics data finely?
  • Are there any other points to analyze in a multi-omic way?

Self-Evaluation

  • Summary

I found interest in the philosophical questions raised during the course; however, due to the lack of active participation, I would evaluate myself as B+.

  • Main

I am engaged in disease marker analysis based on the epigenome, with a particular interest in epigenetic changes associated with aging. Therefore, the Omics course with Jong was fascinating to me as it covered such topics. During this course, I had the opportunity to listen to Jong's ideas on disease diagnosis through epigenetic biomarkers. It led me to discuss with myself the philosophical significance of my current research. In the process, I raised questions about how our epigenetic patterns explain aging and how this epigenetic aging detects changes in the body due to diseases. Starting from these questions, I am currently analyzing the patterns of epigenetic age in patients with diseases and exploring the detection of changes in disease aging.

  • Conclusion

Although I did not voluntarily present in this course, I aimed to address my curiosity through discussions and was interested in the scientific discussions from a philosophical perspective. Additionally, considering that I missed one class, I felt engaged in the course but did not actively participate. Therefore, I evaluate myself with a grade of B+.
