Because these problems are made from the instructor, The contents that instructor didn't explain are not helpful for making a good score. So additional question is absolutely useless for the grade.

In the cases of U.S., their test require student's own thinking, idea. It means, there are no right or definite answer. So additional question is helpful for the grading because question makes creative ideas.

 

in terms of minor aspect, I guess that DNA can also affect these phenotype. As you know, the suicide used to inherited to offspring. I think silence can also be rised from the differences of DNA. The genomic sequence of western countries and eastern countries are somewhat different.
