Reference genome is a digital nucleic acid sequence database, assembled by scientists as a representative example of a species' set of genes. Although reference genome don't accurately represent the set of genes of any single person, it provides a haploid mosaic of different DNA sequences from each donor.
Re-sequenced genome
When a reference genome already exist in their own species, resequenicng allows investigation of the relationship between sequence variation and normal or disease phenotypes.
