Bioinformatics is a discipline of science that analyses, seeks understanding, and models the whole life as an evolving information processing phenomenon for maximizing energy utilization.
It is a multidisciplinary science that uses methods and principles from philosophy, mathematics, and computer science for analyzing biological experimental data.

Bioinformatics is the core analysis tool of genomics.

Bioinformatic pipelines are automated analysis tools for all aspects of the genome.
